Rostrevor Singer Songwriter Fil Campbell is working towards the formation of a Folk Choir and is looking new voices to join in. As she says "Just remember if you can talk, you can sing" so don't be afraid to join in.
Have you ever fancied doing a bit of work on your voice but have been too embarrassed to let other people hear you? Or were you ever told when you were little that you couldn’t sing? Or do you simply want to join in a bit of singing with other people?
Then perhaps the Singing Circle and Community Choir would be right up your street. They meet in Warrenpoint Town Hall on Monday nights at 7.30pm.
It's an informal singing session for adult singers of all abilities, working towards forming a folk choir.
The evening takes the form of voice exercises, group singing, part singing etc. Special encouragement is given to people who believe that they cannot sing. The material covered includes world music rounds, Irish folk songs, songs from local songwriters and old favourites of all styles.
