Here's our suggestion's for things to do in and around Newry this Bank Holiday Weekend. Some things for all the family and some for the grown ups.

Note if you have any other must do events this weekend please don't be afraid to mention them!

Newry Craft Beer Festival

Newry’s very first Craft Beer Festival kicks off this weekend in Bellinis Renaissance Suite with many different types of local craft beers and ciders on offer. Mobile bars abound.

Admission is £5 and hangover is thrown in for free!.

It runs on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May from 4pm to 9pm.

The Magic of the Musicals

Newry Musical Society presents it’s second night tonight Friday 29 April at Newry Town Hall in homage to the great musicals of our time.

Admission is £10 and it starts at 7.30pm

Slieve Gullion Giants Lair

Since Newry doesn’t yet have a park get yourself to the next best thing, and it’s all free.

A real treat for the children and it will bring out the inner child in any adult.

Follow the trails from the car park taking in fairy houses, mazes, board walks, musical features, arts features and more more more. If you haven’t been your kids are missing out! Open all weekend and all year from 8am to 9pm.

Annalong Cornmill Open Day 

Come along to the fantastic free open day! Activities will include Donkey and Cart, Wheel Turning, traditional music session by the Warrenpoint Comhaltas and face painting! Open from 11am to 4pm Sunday 1st May at the Cornmill in Annalong.

Saval May Day Festival

Saval May Day Festival has something for all the family.

Friday 29th April:

Rory's Story live. Show starts 9pm followed by Disco

Saturday 30th:

Saval's fittest family, followed by live music in the lounge.

Texas Hold' em in the mail hall

Sunday 1st

Saval vintriathlon and family vintage day. Tractors show, games and activities.

If Drama is your thing get yourselves down to the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre Saturday 30 April 8pm. Portadown’s Gateway Theatre Company present the outrageously smart and funny play. Tickets are available from Newry Town Hall or pay on the door. £8
