Members of Soroptimists International Newry and Mourne and their President Brenda Hughes were on hand at Kilbroney Park last Saturday to start a sponsored cycle led by the Presidents husband Kevin Hughes and Glyn O’Brien in aid of the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
The Cancer Fund for Children is the Soroptimists chosen charity this year.
Upwards on 30 cyclists took part in the cycle using the new Mountain BikeTrails at Kilbroney Forest Park in Rostrevor.
Commenting on the event President Brenda Hughes said "I would like to thank all those who took part in the cycle and who collected sponsorship for this very worthy cause."
