A South Armagh group has invited Tánaiste Simon Harris to the area to discuss the extension of the Ireland's Ancient East scope.
It's part of the South Armagh Business Improvement Group's 'Five Year Strategy's have the tourist destination extended from Faughart into South Armagh. John Nealon Chair of the group said "Such a tourism initiative, if successful, would be an opportunity to showcase our areas wonderful cultural heritage and in turn boost our local economy."
He added "To this end we have extended an invitation to An Tánaiste Simon Harris TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to come to the area and possibly visit Creggan graveyard; the Cardinal Ó Fiaich Heritage Centre in Cullyhanna (where an outline of the initiatives pursued by the Rural Health Partnership can be provided); and meet in the 5-star Killeavy Castle Estate to discuss the extension of "Irelands Ancient East" and other trade related matters for which he is Minister."
