Write a commentA Halloween Eve 'Spook Shack' at Drumgullion Avenue, Newry on Friday has been hailed as a great success with over 150 treat bags, drinks and crisps all distributed for free by the non funded Lisdrum Concerned Residents Group.
Community worker John McCabe stated "Our iniative to stay within safety guidelines whilst providing young children with some semblance of Halloween proved to be a great success thanks to private donations, Gregorys Service Station, Bessbrook and Councillor Gavin Malone.
"We are a non funded Group come Community Association and it was very heartening to see such community spirit in abundance and the smiles on young children's faces made it all worthwhile and our venture is part of our ongoing community development programme in our part of the Armagh Road region of Newry"
