Students at the Southern Regional College in Newry are organising a local food fair later this month as part of their Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management Foundation Degree, with proceeds from a raffle on the day going to the Alzheimer's Society.
The event, called Local Flavours, Lasting Memories, takes place at the Graduate Restaurant at SRC Newry on 28 April from 12pm to 2.30pm. Minimum donation is £5.
The students have been in contact with local suppliers to take part giving visitors a taste of what the area has to offer. Cookery students at the college will also be providing small bites on the day.
A raffle will be held during the event, with hampers and vouchers from local businesses up for grabs. All profits from the raffle will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society.

Local Flavours, Lasting Memories is a chance to support Newry students, local producers and a worthy cause all in one culinary afternoon.
