Plans are underway for the return of the St Patrick’s Day Parades in Newry this year.
Always one of the highlights of the Newry Calendar, celebrations have not been held since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event is extremely popular with locals and visitors from across Ireland with many thousands descending on the city. Local businesses will be looking forward to a long awaited boost, especially those in hospitality.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are currently planning to host St Patrick's Day parades in Newry as well as Downpatrick and more details will be published in the next few weeks.
