A car was extensively damaged yesterday, when what appears to be a chimney fell on to it in a car park at St Marys Street in Newry during storm Bram. The concrete mass completely crushed the drivers side of the vehicle and luckily no one was in the vehicle at the time.
Elsewhere in the city, agencies were on standby when the Clanrye River rose significantly but thankfully it didn't flood. The entrance to Forest Hills on the Old Warrenpoint Road flooded for a time.
The Warrenpoint to Rostrevor road was also closed for a time as waves crashed over the sea wall.
