Taoiseach Micheál Martin is visiting Kilbroney Forest Park in Rostrevor and the site of the Narrow Water Bridge this afternoon, 12 June, as part of a series of engagements today and tomorrow, culminating in the 43rd Summit of the British-Irish Council.
The Taoiseach previously visited the Narrow Water site in May 2024 as Tánaiste. Today he will be given an update on the bridge construction before travelling to Kilbroney for a briefing on plans for cross-border Shared Destinations tourism projects, from the CEOs of Tourism Northern Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, and Tourism Ireland.
Before his trip to the bridge site the Taoiseach will address the Ibec-CBI Joint Business Council (JBC) All-island Business Conference: Protecting all-island business in a new global environment. The event in Dundalk will bring together over 150 business leaders, stakeholders, and public policymakers to focus on the interconnected and cost-effective ways that businesses operate on an all-island basis.
