A new initiative to make handmade baby clothes for local hospitals and baby units is being launched tomorrow 25 June in Newry.
'Once Upon A Needle' is a non-profit project created by 17 year old Emma-Clare Connolly from Newry and the group are meeting at The Quays Shopping Centre tomorrow at 11am.
'Once Upon A Needle' is inviting people to join a heartwarming knitting group, where individuals from different generations will come together to create handmade baby clothes with love and care. Every stitch knitted will help support local hospitals and baby units, providing warmth and comfort to newborns in need.
The group aims to create a brighter future for these little ones through knitting. Both experienced knitters and beginners are welcome to join, as there will be skilled knitters available to offer assistance, and all necessary supplies will be provided.
