Toolmaker Scot, owned by William Hyslop (Kilmaurs, East Ayrshire) and trained by Robert Guiney Gleeson was the leader of the pack winning the three-week festival of racing’s most sought after £5,000 prize.
The final 6 dogs were whittled down from those who participated in one of Drumbo Park’s biggest race events of the year, with a total prize pot of £10,000.
Second place, and £1,250 went to Farloe Rumble, owned by Ayrshire’s Peter Aitken and trained by Donaghadee trainer Curtis McGrath.
Third place, and £750 went to Toolmaker Metro, also owned and trained by Scotland’s Hyslop/Gleeson combination.
The other three dogs who made the final, each received £400. They were: Darfin Angel, owned by Crossgar’s Daryl McLaughlin and trained by Finbarr McLaughlin; Blue Cafu, also owned by Ayrshire’s Peter Aitken and trained by Donaghadee trainer Curtis McGrath; and Tiernans Gift, owned by Belfast’s Hugh Hitchen and trained by Belfast’s Tommy Light.
