Write a commentThe Quays Shopping Centre in Newry is getting into the spirit of Halloween with frightfully fun activities for young shoppers next Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October.
On Halloween eve, Saturday 30th October from 2-4pm, well known broadcaster Rowan Hand will be hosting a story time session, telling spooky tales on the centre mall.
Children of all ages are invited to come and listen to the tales with fancy dress optional and there will be sweet treats for everyone. On Sunday 31st from 2-5pm there will be mask making on the mall. For those last minute costumes The Quays craft team will be on hand to help children make their very own Halloween mask. Sherryl Kerr, Marketing and Events Manager said, “We are really looking forward to our Halloween celebration at The Quays this year.
Halloween falls during the schools mid-term break when many parents are looking for activities they can do as a family so we have a great programme of activities to help create the perfect day out. We hope that lots of children will come along to hear our spooky tales on Saturday and join in with the fun of making your own mask on Sunday.”
Sherryl Kerr added, “Halloween marks the start of our winter programme and along with great shopping we have some fantastic events coming up between now and the end of the year. We have Santa’s arrival on Saturday 13th November, an information event aimed at our more mature shoppers towards the end of November and a month of music, song dance and entertainment throughout December. Further details about all these activities will be available on The Quays website and Facebook.” For further information about all activities please log onto www.thequays.co.uk or www.facebook.com and search for The Quays.
