Due to an incredibly busy weekend in the capital with GAA, Rugby and concerts Iarnród Eireann have announced this morning that they are putting on three additional late night trains from Dublin, although already only tickets remain for the Sunday night 22 June train.

Both Iarnród Eireann and Translink have substantially increased the number of services on the Dublin Belfast route in recent months with the new hourly trains substantially increasing the popularity of the service. Only evenings and Sunday services are missing the hourly service.

The popularity already of the additional trains this weekend show the opportunities that a late night service would open and many would welcome a later service even through the week that would allow a visit to a concert or show.

Tickets for the 23:59 service from Connolly can only be booked via the Iarnród Eireann website
