Three Ways Community Association have held an Older Youth Club Fundraising Coffee Morning, raising an impressive £501.25 to support the ongoing personal and social development initiatives of the young people involved.
This initiative forms part of a wider programme kindly funded by The Brian Conlon Foundation, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, and the Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) Newry, Mourne and Down. The funding has enabled the Older Youth Club to actively engage in personal and development initiatives, good relations and social action projects which help build confidence, develop skills, and promote positive connections within their local community.
The coffee morning brought together members of the local community who gave generously in support of the group’s efforts. A special word of thanks goes to those who baked delicious treats and contributed to the success of the event. Thanks also to local businesses The Corn
Dolly, The Shelbourne, and Slieve Gullion Bouncy Castles for their continued support and generosity.
Speaking after the event, Cathy Keenan, Chairperson of Three Ways Community Association, said: “We are incredibly proud of our young people and their commitment to making a positive difference through this social action project. Events like this not only raise vital funds but also help foster important skills, friendships, and community connections.
"On behalf of our committee and young people, I want to thank everyone who came along, donated, baked, or supported the event in any way. Your generosity will go a long way in helping us continue to deliver meaningful activities that support the personal and social development of our young people. We are also hugely grateful to the Brian Conlon Foundation, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, and the PCSP for their investment in our work with young people.”
Three Ways Community Association remains committed to delivering initiatives that enhance community wellbeing and provide opportunities for young people to thrive.
