Ticket vending machines at Newry Train Station are now operational, giving customers the opportunity to purchase tickets for journeys within Northern Ireland. Machines are also in place at Newry Bus Station but not operational just yet. It's part of a roll out of ticket vending machines across the Translink network.
“Passengers can buy local Adult and Child paper tickets or use their yLink card to get discounts. There is also the option for Free and Half Fare Concession Smartpass holders to obtain their tickets at the machines. You can pay for your tickets with a credit/debit card, ApplePay/Google Pay or cash. You can still get your tickets from a staff member as well.
Currently tickets for the cross border Enterprise service are not yet available to purchase via the machines but in the coming months passengers will be able to collect Enterprise tickets they have booked online, from them.
The Enterprise service is moving towards an hourly timetable between from 7 October with the first train leaving Dublin bound at *06.54 and last one at *21.54 and Belfast bound the first train will leave at *07.09 and last is *22.09
