For those going to see the Pope in Dublin at the end of the month, Translink are organising special bus and coach services for the different events. A dedicated web page www.translink.co.uk/popeinireland/ has been set up where you can buy tickets online for the special services. Goldline cross border Coach services can also be booked on line.
Pope Francis is making a two day visit to IReland on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 August.
To facilitate passengers returning from Dublin on Sunday evening (26th August), the last Enterprise Train will be held and rescheduled to depart at 9.10pm. For passengers travelling on the Sunday, pre booking and purchase is essential for the 9am Enterprise service from Belfast and the rescheduled 9.10pm from Dublin Connolly. This must be completed at Enterprise Station ticket offices.

Working closely with the National Transport Authority (NTA) in Dublin, the special services form part of a comprehensive transport plan to cater for the large crowds expected to travel to the event and will support normal scheduled Goldline cross border coach and Enterprise train services.
The message is simple...plan your journey now and book your travel tickets online well in advance to avoid disappointment. This also applies to anyone travelling to or from Dublin Airport.
Passengers are being strongly advised by the Department of the Taoiseach to plan for a long day with considerable walking to/from the NTA designated drop-off/collection points.
There will also be the need to allow extra time for your journey whether travelling to Dublin or to Dublin Airport as roads are expected to be busy.
This is set to be a major event and Translink look forward to playing an important part working with the NTA to ensure its success.
