Translink has launched a 12-week public consultation seeking views on potential changes to public transport services and fare discount schemes.

The Equality Impact Assessment consultation opened today 8 July 2026 and will close on 30 September 2026.

The consultation gives passengers, stakeholders and the wider public the chance to share their views and help inform a full assessment of any potential impacts. It comes at a time Translink say there is significant financial pressure on the public transport network, driven by reductions in funding in real terms.

Translink said the consultation would support informed decision-making on how services are delivered in Northern Ireland, helping to ensure they remain as sustainable and effective as possible. The organisation say they will continue to work closely with the Department for Infrastructure to assess funding requirements and the level of service that can be delivered in future.

Further information, including details on how to take part in the consultation, is available at www.translink.co.uk/publicconsultation.
