Write a commentA twelve year old girl has died following a road traffic collision yesterday afternoon on the Flagstaff Road near Newry.
The collision involved a beach buggy and a black Toyota Hilux and another girl (14) who was travelling on the buggy sustained a broken leg in the incident.
The driver of the oher vehicle wasn't injured.
The road was closed after the incident.
Newry Mourne and Down Councillor Liz Kimmins has spoken of how the community has been left in deep shock. "The entire area had been left reeling in deep shock from the news of the death of a young girl" Cllr Kimmins continued "Our deepest sympathy to the family of the young girl who has lost her life in this tragedy.
We also hope that the other young girl injured makes a full recovery."
