Write a commentNewry Coarse Fish Angling Club are hosting the Ulster Open Canal Pairs competition this Sunday 24 April on Newry Canal.
Fishing takes place from 11am to 4pm with 15 pairs competing and they are fishing the O’Rourkes stretch of the Canal at the Albert Basin.
It’s just one of many recent additions for Newry’s fishing fraternity from the Newry club with last years Senior Home International and Junior competitions proving the attractiveness of Newry Ship Canal for fishing.
Newry Ship Canal is one of the most challenging competition waters in these islands.
