Andrew McCracken has been announced at the Ulster Unionist Party candidate for Newry DEA. It is the candidates first election but he is looking forward to the challenge.
McCracken said "I personally want to thank UUP Party Chairperson Jill Macauley for giving me this opportunity to stand in a constituency I have known & worked for in many years.
"I also want to thank my election agent and Slieve Gullion candidate David Taylor for taking his own personal time out to guide and help me in my campaign.
"Whilst I admit this will be my first ever election, I’m not afraid of the challenge. The late David Trimble once said 'Politics can be likened to driving at night over unfamiliar hills and mountains. Close attention must be paid to what the beam can reach and the next bend.'
The candidate urges people to not let their voice go unheard on election day.
