A Warrenpoint based Twitch Streamer is looking to raise money by hosting a 24hr Twitch Stream.
Host Amy Magee, Head of Elk Digital – Elk Creative Media; will take to the streaming platform Twitch for an entire day encouraging people to donate much deserved funds for P.I.P.S Hope & Support from 10am on Saturday 2nd April all the way to 10am the next morning on 3rd April.
After doing several shows on Elk Digital (The Rock Show with Amy) she decided to dip her toe into the world of Twitch Streaming and found the protentional it had to build online communities & raise funds for important causes.
Amy has built up a following of 200 viewers from all around the world: by streaming indie games, reading cringe books aloud & playing.
Magee said “I’ve been on twitch for a year & I thought I would celebrate by doing something fun that can also help raise money for a charity close to my heart!
"P.I.P.S Hope & Support are an amazing service at the heart of our community, they have helped so many people – myself included when it came to a very tough time in my life when I lost someone I loved.
She continued "They are the leading, independent advocate in the Southern Trust, Newry, Mourne & Down Council and Upper Bann areas on all aspects of suicide & need more appreciation for the hard work they do!
"They offer advice and support to those affected by suicide and self-harm & increase the community’s awareness around issues about suicide and self-harm, mental health and trauma.
"What I hope to gain from streaming for 24hrs is awareness! Even if it only helps one person who is going through a tough time, I would be so happy if through this they find out about PIPS and their free services & choose to get help.
"My Goal is to raise £500 & I will be donating on top of what we raise throughout the 24hrs!" she added.

£5 – Your name on the cardboard cut out
£10 – Sour Sweets (I will eat a sour sweet- watch me struggle)
£20 - Temporary tattoos (Every £20 donation gets to pick a horrible tattoo)
£30 – Bean Boozle (The beans range from vomit to apple flavour)
£40 – I will draw you or a character on MS Paint

£100 – Follow bob Ross tutorial

£400 - Read an entry from my teenage diary
£500 – Hot tub streamer for the next stream
For every £10 donation your name gets put into a giveaway for a little prize.
Magee will also be streaming some fun/cringe worthy games and some horror to keep herself awake. She will also be playing games with other twitch streamers!
She concludes "I hope we can all come together and have a great time & spread some love for this amazing charity!”
