Write a commentPolice are investigating three seperate burglaries over the weekend.
A property in Thomas Street in Newry was broken into on Friday 11 October around 8:55pm. Nothing is believed to have been taken, however, damage was caused to a door.
On Saturday 12 October a property on the Flagstaff Road, Newry was broken into between 11.15am and 10.30pm. A bedroom was ransacked in the incident.
Mullaghbawn was the target yesterday 13 October with Police receiving a report that a man had gained entry to a house in the Aughanduff Road area shortly after 8am. The female occupant of the house shouted at the intruder and he subsequently made off. It’s not know if anything was stolen.The suspect is described as being between 5’6’’ and 5’8’’ tall, of a thin build with short black hair and clean shaven.
Police are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area of these incidents to contact detectives at Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
