Write a commentAn enthuisiastic crowd of children and adults took part in a wildflower seed sowing event on Saturday 21 April in Newry. Native wildflower seeds were mixed with sand and spread around the verges of the car park.
The venue Newry Cathedral Car Park had fallen into disaray in recent years and members of Newry 2020 Jonny McCullough and Garry McElherron decided to do something about it. Newry 2020 campaigns to help improve Newry both for residents and visitors.
Many hands made light work and Jonny thanked all involved "The guys from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council were exceptional in preparing things for us and thanks for all the help to the volunteers from Newry 2020, The Magnet Centre The Bosco and The Shamrocks"
