A 47-year-old woman has been arrested in Newry in connection with an offensive message sent following a fatal road traffic collision in the town earlier this month.
Police arrested the woman on Thursday, 23 October on suspicion of misuse of a public electronic network to send a grossly offensive message. The arrest follows a road traffic collision in the Albert Basin area on Wednesday, 8 October, in which a 67-year-old man passed away.
The woman has since been released on bail pending further police enquiries into the matter.
