Workers from Newry on Ice staged a protest in Newry tonight calling for the remainder of their wages to be paid by the organisers of the Christmas festival that was staged at the Albert Basin in Newry from early December.
Over thirty workers have wages outstanding.
The protesters were joined by local MP Conor Murphy and MLA's Dominic Bradley and Mickey Brady and Trade Union Members. Newry and Mourne Mayor, Michael Ruane spoke to the group before going in to the monthly council meeting.
Council members met earlier today with Gerry Corr-Black, a representative from Newry on Ice who has promised to return tomorrow for a further discussion.
