A Mental Health Awareness/Fundraising event is taking place in the Clanrye Suite, Canal Court Hotel, Newry next Wednesday 16 March.
The 40 Shades of Green Fundraiser Concert takes place from 4pm to 7pm It's a great opportunity to get warmed up for St Patricks Day.
Organiser Gerald Cosgrove said "Basically All musicians, singers and songwriters will play for 3 hoursfree of charge, The Canal Court Hotel are not charging fee for use of Clanrye function room, Apex print William Street printed the tickets FOC & Every penny will go exclusively to PIPS Hope and Support, Newry." Beat-It Music, Blackrock are also one of the supporters.
Cosgrove explained it's about trying to change the language around mental health "My two daughters and I believe that harnessing music to raise Mental Health awareness may help to bring about the change that's so urgently needed within communities throughout the country." he said.
Traditional music, jazz, and celtic rock will all feature.

Admission £10 with children accompanied by an adult free.
