The Reduced Shakespeare Company present The Bible: The Complete Word of God in Newry Town Hall on Tuesday the 6th of May at 8pm.

The Newbury Productions (UK) Limited play was the subject of an attempted ban at Newtownabbey earlier this year.
Th publicity blurb sums it up "Following the sell-out success of The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) at Newtownabbey earlier this year – after a slight fracas with the local pharisees - The Reduced Shakespeare Company has been inundated with requests to return to the Emerald Isle. So it’s apocalypse now (again) as the three cultural guerrillas set their reductive sites once more on the good book.
"Can bolts of lightning be far behind?
"Yes, it’s an affectionate, irreverent roller coaster ride from fig leaves to Final Judgment as the ‘The Bad Boys of Abridgement’ tackle the great theological questions: Did Adam and Eve have navels? Did Moses really look like Charlton Heston? And why isn’t the word “phonetic” spelled the way it sounds?
"Whether you are Catholic or Atheist, Muslim or Jew, Protestant, Atheist or Jedi, you will be tickled by the Reduced Shakespeare Company’s romp through old time religion.
"Remember… Someone is watching."
