Write a commentFollowing a very busy year for Accolade and their Community Choir the group embark on a tour of Armagh and Down later this month with an appearance at Newry Conference Centre on Friday the 6th of February at 7pm.
In 2014 Accolade (All Communities Art Communication) many different community activities took place with the Accolade Community Choir winning the cup for mixed choirs at Newry Feis. November saw a packed house at al concert in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre and events were run for Autism Mums, Tesco Extra, Sainsbury's, Confederation of Community Groups and more.
The year finished with the choir performing at the Lord Mayor's reception at Newry Town Hall.

The concerts include soloists from abroad - Dessislava Tosheva, an opera singer from Bulgaria, Amita Ravikiran from India. Together with some well known local talents - Lee Lawson on pipes and drums. Also local community groups will perform together with the professionals - BanbridgeCommunity Chamber Orchestra, ABC Choir, Children Dance Group "Under the Rainbow" and others. Not forgetting include VioLeeN trio, guests of Tommy Sands' TV musical programme last summer.
The programme includes music from Mozart, Monti, Vivaldi, Andrea Bochelli, Bizet and more.
