Newry Museum is taking part in the 2025 Art History Festival this week.
The Museum has developed a new family-friendly trail "King of our Castle" focusing on the portrait of Sir Nicholas Bagenal, encouraging visitors to explore the art on display in the galleries and to engage in creative activities from September 16 – 21.
Additionally, Museum Curator, Shan McAnena, will give a talk titled "A History of Drawing: Works from the Newry and Mourne Museum” on 20 September at 2pm, which will explore the history and use of drawing, illustrated with examples from the Newry & Mourne Museum collection. This event is free of charge.
