Best Young Actor at the final night of Newry Drama Festival was won by local Newpoint Players actor Neil Heaney.
Twenty One year old Neil played the part of Alfred in Newpoint's production of Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Adjudicator Geoffrey O'Keefe complimented Neil on the wonderful physicality he brought to the part "so funny, so effective and so physical"
The Newpoint production also took awards for the Best Technical Production, Best Lighting and the Most Ambitious Choice Award.
