The Canal Court Hotel & Spa has unveiled its newly renovated cocktail lounge at a dazzling event on Friday night 6 June.

The 1742 Lounge is named after the year the Newry Canal opened. The canal is directly outside the front of the hotel and the historic waterway coupled with the landmark Canal Court Hotel which opened in 1998 is one of the city's most iconic views. The official opening was complimented by a night of fashion and beauty that saw Rachel Morgan, owner of The White Gallery luxury bridal boutique unveil 'The White Era' collection.

Hosted by luxury brand consultant and founder of Danu Collective Aisling McVeigh, the evening was a sparkling blend of fashion, beauty, music, and more.
Following a panel discussion with local beauty experts from KLM Makeup, Dr Emma Clinics, and Maria McGuiness Hair,

“Launching The White Era in Ireland – especially at the iconic Canal Court Hotel & Spa, in the heart of Co Down – is truly special” said Rachel Morgan, owner of The White Gallery. “Our new collection embraces luxury, sophisticated, modern designs. Attendees – including local business leaders, press, and fashion, beauty, and health influencers – were treated to signature cocktails and elevated canapes in the chic cocktail lounge, enjoying live music set by rising star Sionann Murphy.
The 1742 Lounge is now officially open to the public for private hire, exclusive events, and special occasions, including Day 2 Wedding celebrations. A dedicated wedding and events team is also available for consultations.
