Local Band Overgrown's Next Gig Could Lead to Ireland and UK Touring Opportunity

A great night for local music awaits at Nan Rices on 7 June as Yew Tree Promotions team up with Scottish touring company Off Axis for an evening that could launch one Newry band onto the national circuit.

The showcase will feature three acts with local favourites Overgrown taking centre stage to launch their debut single. Supporting them are Belfast's Sweet Neptune, brought to the bill through Off Axis's touring network, while local band Headcase will open the evening's proceedings.

Off Axis is an artist development gig swap community interest company. If the venue sells out, Overgrown will earn a  spot on the Off Axis touring roster, opening doors to organising performances across Ireland and the UK.

This represents Yew Tree Promotions' first collaboration with Off Axis. With touring opportunities increasingly vital for emerging bands, this isn't just another gig night at Nan Rices. It's a genuine chance for Overgrown to get on the Ireland and UK gig circuit. All that's needed is a full house on June 7.
