Studio Eleven Tattoo & Creative Arts is an exciting new artist's studio that has recently opened at Monaghan St in Newry.
The studio has been opened by Anna Keenan-Laverty and her partner Darren Burns. The pair have combined their creative industries of Tattoo & Voice, in order to help grow and sustain a network of arts, culture, & activity within Newry and Mourne with cross border and national interactions.
Anna explains “We are an Artist's Studio, a unique space where tattoo & creative arts merge, housing a wide range of arts practices through here. I am an actor, theatre-maker, writer, voice specialist, voice-over artist & musician, where Voice has been my main practice for over 15 years. We are hosting artists from a wide range of arts practices & backgrounds, not just our own.”
Anna works as Creative Director of the studio, and has many plans in store. “We are working behind the scenes on our inaugural Creative Arts programme, which I will be very excited to share. I have a fantastic list of electrifying Artist's & Practitioners who have confirmed their involvement in the programme. Combined with the launch of Voice Studio, we are bringing a really unique learning opportunity to Newry, Mourne and Down.”
Voice Studio, group classes in Voice are now available for two age groups: 12-18 years and for Adults, which had a successful launch last week.
Anna adds “We provide a safe space for you to engage, explore, and have fun with your Voice, whilst learning and improving your vocal skills. Increase your power of communication, confidence, indulge in creativity, meet new people, all with physical & mental health benefits.”
