Waterstones at The Quays in Newry are starting up a Book Club later this month and all are welcome to join in. Book Clubs give a group of readers a chance to read a selected book, perhaps on a certain topic or genre and once read the book can be discussed by the group. Apart from anything else it can be a great way to socialise and catch up with like minded people.
Sarah a Bookseller at Waterstones said "The plan is to create a place to engage with our community, and to discuss what we love most: books! We welcome anyone, and hope to choose books that reflect the interests of the group."
They are holding their first meeting on Thursday 29 June from 7pm onwards and it is planned to be a regular event. Sarah added "The first meeting will prioritize discussing what we would like to read in the future, so no prior reading needed."
Refreshments will be provided.
