There is a wee place in the middle of East County Down
Not too far away from Belfast Town.
Five roads in and five roads out
A quiet sleepy little place,
there's not too much noise about.
The Glasswater river passes underneath Everbrogues Bridge and onto Kilmore,
Gone is the train service and the tracks are no more.
Footballers, and Preachers, a Judge and a Famous Engineer,
Cafes and Hairdressers are all found here.
War brides and Poultry, Motorcars and Gin,
At least X4 churches and not to mention...a quare bit of sin!
A hardworking wee place with no sparkle or sheen
And tops off for football posts ten apart on Lislea green!
With only Glasswater park and The Monastery grounds, there's nowhere much to roam
but it is our wee place which we call home; Crossgar.
