As I gaze out to sea
I know that we can’t talk
But let’s just sit, just be
The sky is pale blue today
Like the hue of your gentle eyes
It watches and it holds me
As you did many times
The sea is calm and quiet
No waves break on the shore
It gently laps and soothes this pain
Pain like I’ve never known before
I miss you immensely
Like the vastness of this sea
Yet I know that you are here
