Carlingford Heritage Trust and Rostrevor Folk Club at Crawfords have announced the third series of their hugely successful cross-border collaboration to promote top class Irish and folk music on the island of Ireland.
'A Lough of Songs' will take place over three weekends in May. Having previously hosted artists like Cathy Jordan, Liam Ó Maonlaí and Bill Whelan, the series continues with three more outstanding acts this year, playing Carlingford Heritage Centre on a Sunday afternoon and Rostrevor Folk Club at Crawfords on the following Monday evening.

Muireann Bradley
The outstanding young blues and folk guitarist and singer from Donegal has sold out concerts throughout Ireland and the UK and her online performances have been viewed over two million times. A big hit on Jools Holland BBC show and RTE’s Late Late Show, she has been acclaimed by guitar legends like Stefan Grossman and Jorma Kaukonen.

Cathie Ryan with Matt Mancuso & Niall Murphy
For many years lead singer with the legendary Cherish the Ladies in the US, Cathie has been described as ‘one of the leading voices in Celtic Music’ by the LA Times and was twice named as ‘Irish Voice of the Decade’. A captivating performer, she is joined by Matt Mancuso on fiddle and guitar and fiddle player Niall Murphy.

John Spillane
Musician, songwriter, performer, recording artist, storyteller and dreamer, John Spillane is rooted in people, place and story. His music transports the listener, and his live performances captivate audiences around the world.
