Saturday 6 May 2pm Féile na Bealtaine - Traditional Singing Workshop
As part of Féile na Bealtaine 2023 get along to this traditional song workshop led by local singer Colleen Savage. Held in the roundhouse at Bluebell Lane, Mullaghbawn by open fire, the afternoon will be spent exploring and learning some songs which are local to South Armagh. The repertoire will be mostly in English.
This workshop is open to all. Light refreshment of tea and coffee will be served. Learning aids provided.

Monday 8 May 10.30am/ 1.30pm Make your own Shield Workshop
Newry Museum
Something for the children and the Museum exhibitions will be open at the same time. Staff at the Museum will host two shield arts and crafts workshops. Children will learn more about heraldry, the medieval system of identification used during battle, which developed into the art form used in creating family coats of arms and crests. They will also get the chance to create a new family crest (or use the old one) and make their own shield.
The sessions start at, 10.30am until 12pm and again at 1.30pm until 3pm.
