Mayobridge's Sophie Lennon is riding on the crest of a wave after her audition appearance on America's Got Talent earlier this week. Singing the Cher hit 'Do you believe in life after love', the audience was blown away. Simon Cowell commented "I think you have that kind of voice and presence where you would be a very good theatrical singer"
Sophie had to keep her appearance secret after she was scouted for in February and flown out to LA with her mum and dad for three days of filming.
On her Instagram Sophie said "I’m still pinching myself with what all is happening lately, I’ve always dreamed of being on AGT from I was little, watching all their YouTube videos and I just can’t believe my dream has come true."
She is the first person ever from Northern Ireland to be chosen to perform on the show, one of the biggest talent shows in the world. Sophie appeared on the last audition programme and has got through to the next round of the show.
