TG4’s Travel series Téacs Taistil is back for its third season with south Armagh presenter Proinsias Ó Coinn travelling everywhere from Cape Clear to Seville. This fun, quirky, and slightly chaotic adventure show has gone from strength to strength—kicking off with an epic first season, levelling up in season two, and now bringing you what the presenters think is the best one yet.

Buzzing with excitement Ó Coinn said “Téacs Taistil series three has been our biggest adventure yet. The challenges have been more bizarre, the sights more spectacular, but most importantly for me, it has been the characters we met along the way that make this the best series so far. A passionate flamenco teacher in Seville, a blind musical goat farmer in West Cork, hardworking market stallholders in Czechia, and a Belfast woman who owns a luxury hotel in Marrakech are just a few. I’m looking forward to everyone seeing what we got up to!"

Every week Ó Coinn and two other totally unique presenters are thrown headfirst into a mystery trip with just one mission: to show us—rain-soaked Irish people—where we should go and what we could do if we hopped on a plane, train, or automobile for a three-day adventure.

With zero time to think, the travellers—Proinsias Ó Cuinn, Louise Cantillon and Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin get just 24 hours to pack, wax, and leg it to an unknown destination.

From chasing the Northern Lights in Iceland to roaming the ancient walled city of Split, or even just braving the rickety roads of Cavan, our three highly competitive presenters have to throw themselves into the local way of life—all while waiting for their next set of text instructions.

Where they stay, what they do, and how they eat? That’s all decided by a mysterious texter. Over the past two seasons, they’ve steered boats across straits, shorn sheep on highlands, and even chiselled their own leather sandals—because why not?

But season three takes things up a notch! For the first time, the gang is leaving Europe and getting lost in the sights, sounds, and madness of North Africa. They’ll hit the fairgrounds in Seville, take a walk in the clouds over Bratislava, and learn some traditional skills in West Cork.

So what’s in store this time? What Insta-worthy moment will Louise capture? What TikTok trend will Séaghan jump on? And will Proinsias finally get over his fear of chickens?

Join the Lad’s as they embark on this fun adventure, creating memories to last a lifetime!

The Presenters

Proinsias Ó Coinn from South Armagh is a podcaster, journalist, TV presenter, and passionate world traveller.

Louise Cantillon, from Limerick, presents Today FM’s flagship lunchtime show, hosts TG4's Junior Eurovision, and has a hugely popular bilingual podcast "HOW TO GAEL".

“I’m very excited for season 3 of Téacs Taistil and to be back on the road with the boys. I honestly feel this is the best season yet and that the destinations really caught us by surprise. Lots of surprises in store for the viewer, lots of really great moments. I had some special encounters with people and places that I never would have expected. One in particular that stands out for me is a dog shelter in Morocco. I’m not particularly an animal person, but I have come home a patron of this shelter. I believe that people will enjoy watching the series just as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin, farmer, teacher, and presenter @thekerrycowboy, has many strings to his bow. He is very active on TikTok and Instagram, where his life on the farm in Kerry has attracted worldwide attention. Séaghan had little travel experience when he started on series one of Téacs Taistil but is now a well-seasoned traveller.

“My two mates and I are hitting the road again, and in series three, we will be going further from home than ever before! There is a big difference between the farm in Kerry where I grew up and the camel farm I worked on in Morocco, not to mention the racing pigeons in Krakow and the birds of prey in Bratislava! The new series is full of new challenges and endless fun. Will we succeed? Tune in to find out!”
