Reading from Harvest the Light – An Anthology of Creativity at Teac Mallon.

Inspired by the launch of their book at Teac Mallon in Meigh over the weekend of 25/26 July the Wordsmith Writers are planning to Read Out Loud from their  anthology of creativity entitled ‘Harvest the Light’ at a number of venues over the coming months.

Newry Library  will be the next venue with Readings Out Loud by the contributors  of Harvest the Light on Thursday 21 August at 12.30pm during the Iur Cinn Fleadh festival.

Join the writers there at 12.30pm just after the Fleadh's Poems & Pancakes event which runs from 11.30am.

The Book: Harvest the Light – An Anthology of Creativity

Harvest the Light is a unique publication, celebrating in prose, poetry, along with photographs/images, by eleven local writers known as the Wordsmiths who meet regularly in Teac Mallon in Meigh Co. Armagh.

These writers will be paying homage to the unique landscape of Oriel, southeast Ulster, and the foothills of Slieve Gullion and in particular its people.  Harvest the Light will bring back cherished memories of times past, along with plenty of laughter and nostalgic moments, with reminders of the world we live in today. Readings will also pay tribute to the oral storytelling tradition of the area.

How you can help - A Donation of £10/ €12 gets you a copy of this publication.

The Wordsmiths would like to acknowledge the warm welcome one always gets from the wonderful staff at Newry Library and the on-going creativity and enjoyment provided at the regular Poetry & Pancakes events there.
