A Newry Ukulele group is taking to the water, or at least the Albert Basin, this weekend for a quirky gig as part of the 2024 Iúr Cinn Fleadh.
Yew Tree Ukes love singing, playing ukuleke and having fun and they will be entertaining the public this Saturday 23 August on board the Brian Boru. The tall ship will be moored at the Albert Basin, outside The Quays Shopping Centre and unlike the Trad Cruises taking place over the weekend, it won't be moving for the duration of the gig. Numbers are limited so be sure to get there early.
If you want to hear some great music and have a look around the Brian Boru call down anytime between 11am and 1pm.
It's one of over 80 gigs on in the city this weekend as part of the annual Iúr Cinn Fleadh. Be sure to get along to some of them and support local talent.
