A celebration event was held this week in the Bank of Ireland branch Trevor Hill, Newry to mark 200 years of operation in the city.

The iconic building opened in July 1825 and it's thought that it is the oldest building in the city that has been continuously used for the purpose it was built for.

Geraldine O’Hagan, Senior Bank Manager at Bank of Ireland UK, welcomed Gail Goldie, CEO, Bank of Ireland UK along with members of the bank’s UK Board, local customers, businesses and community representatives to celebrate 200 years of Bank of Ireland in Newry.
