Newry-based precision engineering firm The Exact Group has taken the Best Manufacturing and Engineering Business award at the Greater Newry Business Awards earlier this month. The company was recognised for its expertise in precision engineering and advanced cosmetic coatings, as well as its strong commitment to the local region whilst supporting global supply chains.
The judges were particularly impressed by The Exact Group's proactive approach to innovation and its work across high-growth sectors. Founded in 2007, the company has transformed from a small operation into a leading engineering firm, now operating from a 72,000 square foot facility at Craigmore Industrial Mill Estate in Newry. The firm supplies high-precision components and coatings for global aerospace clients and has expanded in recent years into med-tech, space and renewables sectors.
