Newry BID host meeting tonight for flood affected businesses

Newry BID (Business Improvement District) is hosting a meeting tonight following this weeks flooding in the city with the aim of gathering the initial round of evidence to lobby for funding and support for fast business recovery.

The meeting takes place tonight 2 November at 7pm in the Canal Court Hotel and all businesses are urged to attend.

Eamon Connolly, Newry BID Manager said "BID members are coming together to support each other, identify the extent of the losses, lobby for central support and look at how this cannot happen again." He urges all Newry BID members to attend tonight's meeting to help support each other.

If you are not currently a BID member, you can join by contacting admin@newry.com to be included in the data presented or if you are outside the BID area you are still welcome to attend for information purposes.

The BID team are sending a survey out to all their members today so that they can gather accurate information about the extent of the damage and to lobby effectively for compensation.
