The marketing team at Hill Street retailers Jack Murphy Jewellers are celebrating after taking home the Retail & E-Commerce award at the 2024 Remarkable Marketing Awards recently.
For over 50 years the family-run Jack Murphy Jewellers have been a staple of Newry’s high street retail offering. Their marketing manager Charlotte McAteer and marketing executive Tara O’Hanlon entered the awards to showcase their Welded Forever Bracelets experience, the first of its kind in Newry at the time.
Having Launched in June 2023 as a series of in-store pop up events Charlotte explained: “Our Welded Forever Bracelets became a permanent offering within one month of launching. These one-of-a-kind bracelets feature no clasp, instead being permanently welded together for continuous wear.
“The permanent jewellery experience allows us to connect with new and existing customers in a more relaxed yet refined setting, showcasing not just our Welded Forever Bracelets but also taking the opportunity to showcase our diamonds and bridal offering that we are renowned for.”
Speaking of her team’s win on the night, Charlotte said: "Winning the prestigious award for Most Remarkable Marketing in Retail and eCommerce at the Remarkable Marketing Awards 2024 is an immense honour and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the entire team at Jack Murphy Jewellers, and each and every customer that has and continues to support our Welded Forever Bracelets experience.

The inaugural Remarkable Marketing Awards recognised 20 experts across the industry recently at a glittering awards ceremony at the Europa Hotel.
Sponsored by Card Group Research, the awards were created by the team behind the hugely popular annual Big Marketing Meet Up conference.
Hosted by communicator and presenter, Emer Maguire, the RMA’s gave marketers and their teams the chance to blow their own trumpets to be recognised for their creativity, innovation and marketing successes.
