Warrenpoint Harbour Authority Board Member reappointed

Warrenpoint Harbour Authority Board Member David Gray has been reappointed to a second four-year term with effect from 1 December 2023 while Board Member Geraldine Donaghy’s second term has been extended to 29 February 2024

The Harbour Authority Board has a current membership of a Chair, two Executive Members, and six Non-Executive Members, this includes two councillors from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.  The Non-Executive Members currently receive remuneration of £7,807 per annum.

David Gray is a Chartered Accountant who has retired from public practice where he was previously Head of External Audit and Corporate Governance Services for a leading national firm. He has previously held Northern Ireland Public Appointments, within the Departments of Health, Justice, Regional Development and Infrastructure. Mr Gray has particular relevant experience, skills and knowledge in the areas of Corporate Governance; financial and risk management, strategy; and dispute resolution.

Geraldine Donaghy was formerly Chief Executive of the Confederation of Community Groups, Newry & Mourne and has previously held several Public Appointments. She served as a Commissioner with the Charity Commission for N.I. and is currently a Non-Executive Director with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. Ms Donaghy has wide experience in community development and has skills and knowledge in human resource management, business and strategy development and governance and performance management.
