St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, Newry has officially launched it's new super slick school web-site as well as opening a Twitter account.
Web-site co-ordinator, Mr Brendan Fearon, commented that ‘As a result of the continual pastoral, sporting, musical and academic achievements that occur at St Joseph’s, we are delighted at how effective social media is in allowing as many people as possible to share in the successes that staff and pupils experience at our school on a daily basis.’

Mr Brian Taylor added, ‘Through the new Twitter account, people are instantly updated and connected to what’s happening at St Joseph’s and this is through the use of: @stjosephsnewry
Mrs Sharon Byrne, Facebook coordinator explained that the Facebook platform is helping to disseminate regular updates to the wider school community as well as showcasing fantastic pupil achievements and successes, adding: ‘Through the regular videos, images and news feeds, St Joseph’s is very proud to display the unbelievable talents and achievements of our pupils and share them with as many people as possible.
