Death Notice
Hughes (Newry, formerly of Cardinal O'Fiaich Square, Crossmaglen) John died June 24th 2026 suddenly at home. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Gertie) R.I.P., devoted father of Mary, cherished father-in-law to Sean, treasured Grandad to Leah and Megan, loving son of the late Joseph and Mary R.I.P. and a dear brother of Josie, Gene, Joe and the late Nuala, Oliver, Phil, Eileen and Ann R.I.P.
His remains will repose at his late residence, 27 The Glen, Newry, today (Thursday) from 5pm until 9pm and tomorrow (Friday) from 2pm until 9pm. Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated on Saturday at 12 noon in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.
