Death Notice
Markey Peter (Peadar)
Markey (Newry) Peter (Peadar) died March 2nd 2025 peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Rosemarie (nee O’Hare) R.I.P., devoted father of Thomas, Janette and Peter and treasured brother of Sheila, Jimmy and the late Paddy, Tommy, Sean, Tony, Terence and Maire R.I.P.
His remains will repose in Paul McEvoy’s Funeral Home, 80 Canal Street, Newry, tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3pm until 8pm and Wednesday from 2pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass for Peadar will take place in St. Catherine’s Church, Dominic Street on Thursday at 12.30pm, burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Our Lady Queen of The Most Holy Rosary pray for him.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, daughter, grandchildren Karl, Peter, Conor, Laura and Emma, great-grandchildren Ariya, Maeva, Rory, Tommy, Amy and Ella, also his brother, sister, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.
